Human Appeal International (HAI) has completed the drilling of two wells in Sudan valued at a cost of around Dh400,000 to help provide clean water to approximately 5,000 people.
Obaid Al Matrooshi, deputy secretary-general of the HAI, said that the drilling of wells is “one of the basic strategic projects of the HAI and we are implementing them as per the directives of our wise leadership to provide and carry out water projects around the world”.
He said that the continuation of HAI’s work is to provide more wells to support people’s stability and enhance the UAE leadership’s charitable and humanitarian position in the region.
The HAI works mainly on social development programmes in developing countries and has been in operation since 1984.
