ABU DHABI // Television and film projects by twofour54 will soon be filmed at the First Gulf Bank Arena, Abu Dhabi’s new sports and entertainment centre.

The Media Zone Authority’s commercial arm has announced a partnership with the 6,000-seat FGBA, which starts with Abu Dhabi’s first Desert Force mixed martial arts titles on Monday.

Twofour54 said it would provide full production services for the FGBA, including nine high-definition cameras, mobile studio and post-production equipment and crew on a continuing basis.

“Twofour54 is proud to assist in growing the Abu Dhabi film and TV sector and by partnering with FGBA, there are tremendous opportunities for production companies and support services,” said Jamal Al Awadhi, head of the commercial section.

“For this event our team, along with MBC’s production team, will manage all aspects of the production … ensuring all the excitement of Desert Force is captured in the best high-definition quality.

The arena at Zayed Sports City opened in February and has hosted events such as Ragheb Alama’s concert, the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship and Fatima bint Mubarak’s First International Basketball tournament.

“We are extremely delighted with our partnership with twofour54 intaj,” said FGBA general manager Rainer Schueler.
