ABU DHABI // Two Libyans, accused of supporting terrorism, will be tried before the Federal Supreme Court on February 29.

Lawyer Ali Al Manahi is representing the men, who both claim they are their innocent, according to Al Ittihad, The National's Arabic language sister publication.

Mr Al Manahi said, in the defence of one of the accused, that the alleged crimes were committed outside the UAE and the group he is allegedly part of was not classified as terrorist by the UAE.

“Fajr Libya” is a military operation launched with the support of the post-Gaddafi legitimate government, Al Manahi pleaded, and it is not responsible for the attacks on the Emirati and Egyptian embassies in Tripoli.
