Two people were killed and 10 were injured in a road accident involving three buses in Dubai on Tuesday. Police said the buses were travelling on Al Khail Road when one driver changed lanes suddenly without making a signal. The bus crashed into the other two and then hit a roadside barrier. Police received an accident report at 6.30am and sent patrols and ambulances. Brig Gen Saif Al Mazrouei, director of traffic at Dubai Police, said: "Initial inspections showed one of the buses deviated from its lane to the left, which caused it to collide with another bus that was in the correct lane. The severity of the collision caused the bus to bounce back to the right and collide with a second bus. It then veered and crashed into a barrier." The bus tipped over, and the force of the crash killed two people instantly and injured 10 others. Brig Gen Al Mazrouei said suddenly changing lanes without indicating and distracted driving are among the most dangerous errors. He called on motorists to drive cautiously to prevent further accidents.
