Two expats in UAE drown in separate incidents
Two expatriates drowned in separate incidents over the weekend, one at Al Raafah beach in Umm Al Quwain and the other at Al Hamriyah lake in Sharjah.
In the first case an Indian man was taken to hospital on Friday, where he was pronounced dead. The other incident, involving a Syrian teenager, took place that evening.
The 17-year-old was taken to Khalifa Hospital in Sharjah where he was pronounced dead.
Separately, Ajman Civil Defence rescued four people, one Yemeni and three Pakistanis, who got in to difficulty while in the sea on the emirate’s corniche on Saturday.
