Several car accidents took place heading into Dubai this morning, causing congestion and delays.
At 6.30am, an accident took place on Al Aweer Road (E44) after the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road intersection, inbound, resulting in delays to motorists’ journeys and prompting police to issue a warning asking commuters to drive with caution.
Another accident, around the same time, took place on Al Ain Road by Silicon Oasis, also headed towards Dubai. It was followed by an accident on Al Khail Road, towards International City from Al Warqa.
Two hours later, three separate crashes were reported on Al Ain Road, inbound.
The capital also had its share of heavy traffic this morning.
Traffic was congested on Mussaffah Bridge but eventually eased.
Similarly, the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan street, also known as the Eastern Corniche, was heavy with traffic inbound traffic at around 8 am.
