Motorists in Abu Dhabi faced delays on Salam Street on Tuesday morning.
Tailbacks stretched almost from Sheikh Zayed Bridge to the Eastern Mangroves area.
It was also busy around Abu Dhabi Mall in the Al Zahiyah Area as long-delayed roadworks ramp up in the area to ease traffic flow and make the area better for pedestrians.
In other parts of the capital it was busy heading into the city from Maqta Bridge and on the E20 around Abu Dhabi Gate City.
Elsewhere in the UAE, it was busy on all major approaches from Sharjah into Dubai.
