ABU DHABI // Heavy traffic and a few accidents caused delays to motorists in the capital and in Dubai on Sunday morning.
On Twitter, the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport reported an accident at 8.21am on Sultan bin Zayed the First Street (Muroor Street) near Mohammed bin Khalifa Street (15th Street).
The incident, which caused heavy delays, was cleared at 8.49am.
The department also reported a broken-down vehicle on Sheikh Khalifa Highway after the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge towards Abu Dhabi. It was cleared in less than an hour.
Dubai Police took to Twitter at 8.57am to report a multi-vehicle accident on Sheikh Rashid Road towards Garhoud Bridge, which caused heavy congestion and delays.
