DUBAI // A broken down vehicle caused heavy congestion on Sheikh Zayed Road before the World Trade Centre bridge towards Al Karama.
Dubai Police urged residents to drive with caution.
Earlier police said a stalled truck, which has since been removed, resulted in heavy traffic on Al Khail Road after Business Bay crossing towards Bur Dubai.
Meanwhile, minor traffic incidents were reported on Sheikh Zayed Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and in Umm Suqeim.
An incident was reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near the Sharjah-Dubai border heading to Abu Dhabi, causing heavy delays for commuters.
Another accident was reported on Sheikh Zayed Road before Zabeel Park towards Abu Dhabi, causing tailbacks up to Wafi Mall, while a small incident was reported on Umm Suqeim Road before Kings’ School Dubai towards Jumeirah.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
