ABU DHABI // Commuters faced major delays on Monday morning as traffic accidents caused heavy congestion on major motorways around Dubai.
Dubai Police reported via its Twitter account an accident on the Abu Dhabi-bound Sheikh Zayed Road, near Ibn Battuta Mall, at 8am
Commuters said traffic was almost at a standstill heading to Abu Dhabi through the Marina Mall and JLT areas.
Dubai Police also reported an accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road before the Muhaisnah flyover toward Sharjah and urged drivers to be extra cautious.
