DUBAI // A traffic diversion at the junction of Al Sa’ada-Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard near Burj Khalifa was constructed on Friday.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said that the diversion was the first of three phases, which are set to be completed in June at the junction of Business Bay and Al Meydan streets.

“RTA had charted out a master plan for managing the existing traffic diversions, which maintains the same number of the existing lanes to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and avoid potential tailbacks,” said Maitha bin Adai, chief executive of Traffic and Roads Agency.

The diversions will remain in place throughout the construction of Parallel Road Projects in Business Bay District.
