Al Ain Police’s Traffic Department has urged workers in the city’s Industrial zone to use pedestrian crossings to avoid being run over.
Lt Col Salah Al Hmeiri, director of Al Ain Traffic Department, also asked motorists to slow down at crossings and give pedestrians priority.
He noted that awareness brochures were distributed to workers in Al Ain Industrial Zone, listing fines for non-adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
Traffic Department officers also showed safe crossing points to pedestrians.
