Roads around Abu Dhabi will be closed this week due to the Abu Dhabi Tour cycling race.
Drivers need to take alternative routes on some roads, as the race starts today and runs until Sunday.
For those able to stop and watch, the race provides colourful scenes as the peloton cruises past.
The closures will take place as follows:

SATURDAY
Zayed the First Street and Gate Towers area in Al Maryah Island will be partially closed from 11.30am for the 12.6km stage.

SUNDAY
Roads in Al Ain starting from the central district on 137th Street, Othman bin Affan all the way to Jebel Hafeet will be closed from 11.15am to 4pm for the 199km mountain finish.

WEDNESDAY
The area from Shams Solar Power station on E45 in Madinat Zayed was partially closed at 11.30am this morning and again at 3.45pm to accommodate participants.
The E90 road in the Liwa region will also be partially closed at 1.10pm, and at 2:05pm and again at 2.50pm.
Road closures in Madinat Zayed are expected to end by 4pm.

THURSDAY
The second day of the race will see Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Highway on E12 closed at 11.30am.
Areas including Emirates Park Zoo, Al Rahba, Al Samha, Khalifa Port, Al Taweelah, Al Sader, Al Bahia then back to Yas Island will see road closures between 11.50am and 2.45pm.

FRIDAY
Corniche Road will be closed from 12.45pm, Al Bateen Street, Al Khaleej Al Arabi, and Adnec interchange from 1.10pm, Mussafah Bridge on E20 from 1.30pm, exit to Al Wathba at 2.05pm, Baniyas City from 2.30pm, and the exit to Shamkha south and E20 overpass at 2.50pm.
New Al Falah and the E11 Interchange will be closed from 3pm. Then from 3.20pm, the closures will arrive at Yas Island, Saadiyat Island and Louvre Abu Dhabi interchange by 3.40pm, and then the Corniche at 3.50pm.
