Emirati Nayee Al Qaiyidi, 39, died in a traffic accident on Saturday night while travelling on Al Dhaid Road, in the central region of Sharjah.

Police said the car overturned after Al Qaiyidi lost control of the car between bridge 11 and 12 on E88 towards Al Dhaid.

His body was taken to the Sharjah Police forensic lab before being handed over to family members for burial.

On Sunday morning, funeral prayers were held in Al Owais mosque, before he was laid to rest in his hometown of Khidira, in Al Dhaid.
