DUBAI // A total of 172,541 drivers have used the Smart Salik app within a month of it being launched.
Maitha bin Adi, chief executive of Traffic and Roads Corporation for the RTA, said that the app had been available in the Apple Store since September 9 and in the Google Play Store since September 2.
The Smart Salik launch was part of a plan to turn Dubai into a "smart city", She told Al Ittihad, the sister publication of The National.
The application, she said, offers Salik services through either their smart phone or tablet computer.
