More than 1,500 parking spaces in sectors E40 and E25 will fall under the Mawaqif parking management system, the Department of Transport announced on Sunday.
Sector E40 is located in the area between Rabdan Street (29th Street), Dhafeer Street (31st Street), Muroor Road and Airport Road, where 1,035 parking spaces will be available.
There are 514 spaces available in sector E25 in the area between Delma Street, Shakhboot bin Sultan Street (19th Street), Salam Street and Muroor Road.
The bays are all standard parking, marked by turquoise and black kerbstones.
