A man has been killed and four others injured in a two-car collision in Ras Al Khaimah.
The accident took place at 9am on Sunday on the RAK to Manama road.
It is believed the driver of the first vehicle took a U-turn without making sure the road was clear and crashed into a car on the other side of the road.
Rescue teams went to the scene and the victims were taken to Al Dhaid Hospital in Sharjah.
However, one of the victims, believed to be an Asian man in his thirties, died on the way.
Lt Col Harran Al Jizeai, acting director of the Central Region Police, urged all motorists to drive carefully and to always ensure the road is clear before entering it.
