ABU DHABI // In celebration of Eid Al Adha, parking in the capital will be free.

The Department of Transport said motorists could take advantage of the free parking from Wednesday until Saturday.

However, the DoT reminded people not to park in prohibited areas, block other vehicles or disrupt the flow of traffic.

Motorists should also be aware of the regulations regarding resident permit parking bays, between 9pm and 8am, the DoT said.

And Abu Dhabi Municipality has said gardens and parks in the city are ready for the large number of families who traditionally visit during the Eid break.

Paid parking in Sharjah will also be free over the same period while, in Dubai, all paid parking zones will be free except at the Fish Market and in multi-level parking.
