ABU DHABI // Parking in the capital will be free from Tuesday to Friday during the National Day holidays.
On its Twitter account, Mawaqif said: “Dear followers, parking is free of charge during the official public holiday from Tuesday Dec 1 to Friday Dec 4, 2015 #AbuDhabi.”
Mawaqif, however, reminded motorists to park legally at all times and not to park on yellow and grey kerbs, block other vehicles, or disrupt the flow of traffic.
Motorists also need to be aware of the regulations regarding residents-only parking areas for permit holders, which will operate between 9pm and 8am.
Mawaqif’s customer care centres will be closed from Tuesday to Friday, while the customer care centre at the Department of Transport’s headquarters will remain closed from Tuesday to Saturday.
