Four accidents within an hour in Dubai cause major tailbacks

ABU DHABI // Multiple traffic accidents led to congestion in Dubai during the morning rush hour on Sunday.

Drivers were urged to take care on the roads after four separate collisions were reported in Dubai between 8am and 9am, causing massive tailbacks.

One was on Hessa Street, between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Sheikh Zayed Road Jumeirah-bound.

Another accident was on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Muhaisnah Bridge towards Abu Dhabi.

The third was on Umm Suqeim Road, just before the interchange with Al Khail Road towards Sheikh Zayed Road. The fourth accident was inside the Airport Tunnel, as motorists headed towards Nad Al Hamar and Airport Road. No injuries were reported.

In Abu Dhabi, build-up of traffic was reported on Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street and on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road. However, no accidents were reported.
