The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new water taxi station.

The RTA said the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah Station would offer passengers “a safe, convenient and enjoyable experience”.

The water taxi can accommodate up to 11 passengers plus the driver.

“The Dubai Taxi boasts a smooth design, combining typical Emirati design of abra and modernity replicated in a roof emulating the shape of the Dubai Metro stations,” said RTA’s acting director of marine transport.
