DUBAI// More than 271 million people used public transport in the emirate in the first half of 2015, according to figures released by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The statistics include the use of the Metro, tram, buses, marine transit and taxis and reveal an increase of 8.733 million compared with the same period in 2014.
There were 88.25 million users of the Metro, 1.5 million tram users, 66.5 million bus passengers, 7.49 million marine transit users and taxis made 53.57 million trips with 107.5 million passengers.
