ABU DHABI // Motorists who drive in bus lanes on Al Mimzar and Al Ghubaibah roads in Dubai will be fined Dh600 from November 1, the Roads and Transport Authority has announced.

A one-month trial period that preceded the enactment of fines saw 8,439 warnings issued to drivers who used the lanes.

Adel Shakri, director of transport systems at RTA said: “We were keen on raising awareness prior to imposing fines. As of November 1, fines will be imposed on violators either through radars or manually by traffic patrols.”
