ABU DHABI // The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has announced the timings of buses, trams, and water taxis as well as other RTA services during the Eid Al Adha holidays.
Moaza Al Marri, director of marketing and corporate communication, said all paid parking zones will be free during Eid, except at the Fish Market and in multi-level parking, from Wednesday. Fees will be reactivated on Sunday.
Vehicle testing and registration centres will remain closed from Wednesday to Saturday.
The Dubai Metro will operate Wednesday to Thursday from 5.50am to 2am. On Friday the metro will start at 10am and continue to 2am.
The Dubai Tram will run Wednesday to Thursday from 6.30am to 1.30am. On Friday it will operate from 9am to 1.30am
Main bus stations at Al Ghubaiba and the Gold Souk will start services at 5am and continue to midnight. Subsidiary stations at Satwa, Al Qusais, and Al Quoz Industrial will operate from 5am to 11pm. Buses from Jebel Ali Station will run 6am to 10pm.
Metro feeder bus stations will be synchronised with the timings of the metro. Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat, Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa Stations will operate from 5.15am to 1.10am.
The timing of inter-city bus services will be as follows: Main Stations (such as Ghubaiba) will operate 24 hours a day, while subsidiary stations (such as Sabkha, Union Square) will be open 5.30am to midnight. Deira City Centre and Karama stations will operate from 6.10am to 10pm. External stations such as Sharjah (Jubail) will be open around-the-clock, while Abu Dhabi station will operate from 4.15am to 12.30am.
Fujairah station will be open 5.50am to 9pm, Ajman station from 5.25am to 10pm while Hatta station will start services at 5.30am and continue to 9.30pm.
Water buses will operate from noon to midnight and Water Taxis will run from 10am to 6pm at Al Ghubaiba and from 2pm to 10pm at Marina Station, and 11am to 7pm from Palm Jumeirah.
Dubai Ferry has three daily trips scheduled from Al Ghubaiba to Dubai Marina at 11am, 1pm and 6.30pm.
