DUBAI // A tourist who swallowed 71 capsules containing heroin has been arrested.
Dubai narcotics officers caught the Asian tourist after receiving a tip-off. The man, who was smuggling the drugs into the country, was picked up shortly after he gave some of his haul to a compatriot, Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National reported.
The suspect confessed to swallowing the drugs and will appear in court on December 8.
