An Emirati toddler was killed in a car crash on Monday night after his mother's vehicle hit a tree, Ras Al Khaimah Police said.
The woman, in her 30s, was driving in a sandy area and lost control.
The child died immediately. Col Abdullah Ali of RAK Traffic Police urged parents to use child-safety seats that are age appropriate and fit them in the back seat of vehicles.
Police did not say whether the child was in a car seat. The toddler was the second child to die in an RAK car crash in four days, and the fourth death so far this week.
