ABU DHABI // Three men have been arrested in connection with a seizure of 794,892 pills in Al Ain and Ajman.
The suspects had been under surveillance “for some time”, following a tip off, said Col Rashid Bourscheid, Director of CID at Abu Dhabi Police.
K S A, a 38-year-old man and A T A, 31, both from unspecified Gulf countries, were arrested with 537 bags of pills in Al Ain, said police, and a third man, S K S, 31, was arrested in Ajman with 160 bags of pills in his vehicle
During questioning, the men said they intended to sell some of the drugs in the UAE and smuggle the rest to other Gulf countries, as instructed by a drug dealer living in an unspecified Gulf country.
