Three Indian men who broke in to a phone shop in Abu Dhabi and stole 40 mobiles were caught by CCTV after taking a 100 kg safe.
The shop's surveillance camera was unable to catch the men as they broke the lock and stole the phones.
However, when they tried to remove a heavy safe and take it with them, the camera caught them.
The men took the safe home but on opening it, found it only contained passports. They threw away the passports but were arrested by police.
A verdict will be announced on October 14.
