Col Saif Al Mazrouei, director of the General Department of Traffic, said an Indian man was seriously injured in a run-over incident on Thursday at around 11pm on the bridge that leads to Al Khail Road. The driver of the vehicle is a British citizen.

In another run-over incident on Friday, a man was severely injured on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road at around midnight.

“The victim’s car had broken down and was stopped on the gore zone before an exit,” said Col Al Mazrouei. “He was standing behind his vehicle when another car crossed over illegally and ran him over.”

Also on Friday, an Emirati man was killed at around 4:40am when his Land Cruiser went off course and crashed into lamppost on Hatta Road.

Another Emirati man was killed on Saturday at around 4:30am in a sudden swerving incident.

Col Al Mazrouei said the victim’s Porsche crashed into a cement barrier on Sheikh Zayed Road near Novotel Hotel.

On Sunday, an Iraqi man was killed around midnight in an incident involving a lorry and a vehicle on the Dubai-Al Ain road. Later that morning at around 4am, a man was seriously injured and another sustained minor injuries when his vehicle flipped on Emirates Road toward Abu Dhabi.
