Teenage girl falls to her death from Sharjah apartment block

SHARJAH // A 14-year-old girl has fallen to her death from her family’s fifth floor apartment in Sharjah.

The Arab teenager fell from the high-rise in Abu Daniq late on Saturday, police said.

The girl sustained severe injuries from the fall and was taken to Al Qassimi Hospital but she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Her body was transferred to the forensic lab at Sharjah Police. An investigation has been launched into her death, with her parents being questioned and forensic teams examining the family’s apartment.

Last week, a 16-year-old girl sustained serious injuries after she fell from her fourth floor apartment in Al Buheira, Sharjah.
