The carrier is providing assistance to a crew member who is being held in the capital on allegations that he raped a colleague at a luxury hotel.

The airline's support includes "facilitating legal representation for the accused, and supporting the welfare of the crew member who made the complaint to police", Stephen Forshaw, vice president of public affairs at the airline, said in an e-mail.
