Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak toured the Louvre Abu Dhabi site to see the progress that has been made by the Tourism Development and Investment Company.
Sheikh Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, was given a detailed update on all the museum's construction achievements and challenges, such as installing the Louvre Abu Dhabi's specially designed dome. The museum, which is the result of an agreement between the governments of the UAE and France, is set to be completed in 2015. It will display works of historical, cultural and sociological significance.
The Saadiyat Cultural District will also be the home of the Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.
