Sheikh Mohammed of Dubai clocks up 8 million social media followers

On Thursday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid tweeted that he had four million followers on Twitter, 2.4 million on Facebook, and 1.7 million on Instagram and Google+.

ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has 8 million followers on social media.

Sheikh Mohammed tweeted on Thursday he had 4 million followers on Twitter, 2.4 million on Facebook, and 1.7 million on Instagram and Google Plus.

“I am honoured by every individual who connects with me online, and grateful for the ideas, opinions and suggestions that these connections created. Followers who also became partners in all our achievements,” he tweeted.
