SHARJAH // A team from Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Work is continuing to work with the UAE Embassy in Beirut to deliver aid packages to those affected by the blizzard that hit the Levant and Iraq.

An official source from the Foundation said that the winter aid campaign in Lebanon aims to reach 20,000 Syrian refugees and Lebanese families affected by the snowstorm, as per the directives of the President Sheikh Khalifa.

Furthermore, the foundation distributed winter aid packages comprising food, warm clothing, shoes, blankets and heaters to people living in the villages north of the Bekaa region, including Baalbek, Fakiha and Al Jadida. The UAE Red Crescent also received a donation of Dh1 million from Dr Qassem Aloom, founder and deputy Chairman of Al Noor hospitals, to fund the appeal.
