SHARJAH // A brawl on Sunday left two men dead.
Police said the victims, found in Al Saaja Industrial Area, had been stabbed. Others involved in the fight sustained injuries.
The fight took place some time around midday, Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National, reported.
The injured were taken to Al Qasimi and Al Kuwaiti hospitals for treatment.
The last known mass brawl in Al Saaja Industrial Area took place in April 2014, also leading to two deaths.
Two Pakistani men were stabbed and beaten to death in the fight, which police said was a result of two rival groups of diesel sellers clashing.
And at the end of last year, in November, two people were severely injured after being shot during a mass fight in Khor Fakkan.
Police said the brawl had arisen after a personal dispute led to a knife fight, after which one of the men produced a firearm.
Some of the injured had been stabbed, police said, and 15 suspects were taken into custody.
An investigation into the most recent incident is ongoing.
