Senior UAE military officials pay Eid visit to soldiers serving in Yemen

Senior UAE military officials saluted members of the country's armed forces deployed in Yemen and Saudi Arabia in honour of Eid Al Adha.

A delegation of officers shared holiday messages of goodwill with Emirati military personnel while carrying out visits to several army units stationed in Najran and Taif, Saudi Arabia, which are part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition operating in Mukalla and Khawkhah, Yemen.

Major General Mohammed Mattar Al Khaili, deputy commander of the Presidential Guard, performed Eid Al Adha prayers with members of the UAE armed forces in Mukalla, Yemen.

Major General Mohammed Sultan Al Massayba, signal corps commander, and Major General Abdulrahman Sabat Al Marri, commander of joint supply, visited Khawkhawh District to exchange Eid blessings with forces personnel.

The visiting officers also conveyed holiday greetings to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa and Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and delivered similar messages to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

They highlighted the vital role being played by Emirati soldiers serving in Yemen and reaffirmed the significance of the UAE's support of ongoing efforts by the Arab Coalition to bring an end to conflict in the country.
