Security cameras to be installed in Ajman businesses

Ajman Police began implementing an Emiri decree requiring establishments to install CCTV cameras linked to their operations centre.

Speaking to the press, Sheikh Sultan Al Nuaimi, general commander of Ajman Police, said the decision applies to banks, exchange outlets, jewellery stores and stores dealing with precious commodities, as well as some factories that use hazardous materials, malls, hotels and petrol stations.

The decree is mandatory. The cost to establishments will range from Dh2,000 to Dh20,000.
