According to the state news agency WAM, the UAE search and rescue team has narrowed down its search for Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed, the managing director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Sheikh Ahmed, a younger brother of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, disappeared when the glider he was in crashed into a lake near Rabat, the capital of Morocco. He has been missing since Friday.
WAM reported today that the search had been narrowed down to minor spaces after ensuring that far spots of the lake were combed thoroughly.
Teams from at least five countries are searching for Sheikh Ahmed. The UAE search and rescue team praised the efforts of the Moroccan government for allowing the search to take place throughout the day and night. They also praised them for helping them deal with the critical geographic conditions in the area, WAM reported.
