DUBAI // A Pakistani sales agent has denied trying to stab his brother to death.
Prosecutors at Dubai Criminal Court said that after a family fight, S H, 36, fetched a knife from the kitchen and attacked his brother on February 2.
Police officer A A said he was called to the scene in Hor Al Anz after reports of a stabbing.
“We apprehended the defendant S H. He told us that he fought with his brother and stabbed him in the chest,” said the Emirati policeman.
The victim, R S, was taken to the hospital where he was treated for blood loss and damage to a lung.
A forensic report found the defendant’s DNA on the knife’s handle.
A A denied the charge of attempted murder at court on Sunday.
The next hearing was set for June 23.
