The role of the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office will be strengthened under a new plan approved by the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The Abu Dhabi Government Media Office was established in September under a law issued by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.
The media office promotes the emirate’s strategic messages, places media controls and provides news related to the Executive Council and other government bodies.
The media office drafts and develops local government media policies and strategies, and approves media strategies at government entities. It is responsible for organising media discourse, media sponsorship requests and government press conferences.
It is responsible for promoting the local and international stature of Abu Dhabi’s media and government identity.
