ABU DHABI // A man awaiting a verdict for communicating with a foreign country will have his case reheard, the State Security Court heard on Monday.

AB, 43, is accused of providing undercover agents of a foreign country working in the country’s consulate information about his fellow officer in Dubai Police, where he worked as a first sergeant.

The court heard that A B received a discount card for medical treatment in a hospital in Dubai in return.

Judge Falah Al Hajeri said due to inconclusive information, the court will return the witness to the case to clarify certain points.

He called for the witness, H K, an officer from State Security, to testify in court next week.

The case was adjourned to March 9.
