DUBAI // Parks in Dubai recorded an increase of visitors during the Eid holidays, Dubai Municipality says.
Taleb Julfar, the director of the parks and horticulture department, said 137,093 people visited the emirate's six biggest parks - a 3.37 per cent increase compared to 2012.
"This year we arranged interesting items ranging from shows to competitions to match the festivity of Eid," said Mr Julfar.
"We believe people enjoyed the programmes and we will be improving our services to attract each and every section of the community to our parks."
Activities organised at the parks included clowns, mimes and horse and camel riding.
A Lebanese Dabkha Show and Syrian Sword Dance added to the festivities.
