Government employees in Ras Al Khaimah will be paid their salary early this month to coincide with Eid Al Adha, the emirate's ruler has ordered.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi ordered that workers be paid before Eid so families could meet the financial commitments of the holiday, which is typically celebrated by giving money and gifts to loved ones.
Dr Mohammed Abdulatif Khalifa, director-general of RAK Human Resources Department, said his team is working to ensure the order is carried out, reported state news agency Wam.
In May, President Sheikh Khalifa ordered that all retired and serving government employees receive a bonus of one month's salary. The bonus was in celebration of one hundred years since the birth of the UAE's Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed, and coincided with the day before Ramadan.

Who was Alfred Nobel?
The Nobel Prize was created by wealthy Swedish chemist and entrepreneur Alfred Nobel.

Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia
