RAS AL KHAIMAH // Ras Al Khaimah Police received 4,113 calls during the recent Eid Al Adha holiday.
Col Ahmed Al Bagham, director of central operations, said the reports included incidents of criminal activities and road accidents.
During the holidays, which ran from October 2 to 6, there were 548 minor and 34 serious road accidents, said Col Al Bagham.
An additional 35 calls were made asking for a response to medical emergencies, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic language, sister paper of The National.
The others calls included general enquiries, nuisance calls, misdialled numbers and complaints.
Col Al Bagham said all reports were vetted to ensure the caller was serious about needing help.
