The Louvre Abu Dhabi’s buildings, at first glance, invoke the same aesthetics as that of the massive masonry usually found in ancient Greek citadels such as Tiryns and Mycenae. But these blocks of stone are actually 4,680 panels of ultra-high performance fibre reinforced concrete of different sizes laid on top of each other.
