DUBAI // Two children have received Dh200,000 after the accidental death of their father in a traffic incident.
Abdullah Kleb, head of Civil Prosecution at Dubai Courts, said on Wednesday that the previous legal guardians of the Asian children withdrew a compensation case so they did not obtain any funding for the children’s futures.
“Civil Prosecution were assigned as legal guardians for the children in order to void the previous settlement because it did not bring them justice, or compensation for the loss of their father,” said the counsellor.
Two cases were filed by prosecutors, one against the insurance company and another against the person responsible for the death of the father.
The court insisted upon compensation of Dh100,000 for each child and that is what will be given to help safeguard their futures.
