DUBAI // More than 1,800 Dubai Police officers have been promoted by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai.
The promotions included eight colonels raised to brigadier, 17 lieutenant colonels to colonel, 54 majors to lieutenant colonel, 60 first lieutenants to major, 68 lieutenants to first lieutenant and 106 lieutenants to first lieutenant. The remaining promotions were for non-commissioned officers.
Major General Khamis Al Mazeina, Dubai Police chief, said Brigadier Anas Al Matrooshi, director of Operations for Transport and Rescue, and Brigadier Al Salal Saeed Al Falasi, director of the Department of Administrations, were promoted to Major General.
Maj Gen Al Mazeina thanked Sheikh Mohammed for motivating the Dubai Police.
