ABU DHABI // The Ministry of Education is to begin conducting inspections at 58 private schools on Monday.
The inspections will also assess 90 expatriate teachers who have requested educational accreditation.
Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, assistant undersecretary of the private sector at the Ministry of Education, said the visits aimed to keep tabs on education institutions and determine strengths and weaknesses.
Mr Al Suwaidi noted that the two-day inspections will focus on six areas: school leaders, school community, curricula, class environment, pupils’ personal development and exam results.
Teachers should expect inspectors’ visits at anytime during the assessment, which will include interviews with teachers, pupils and parents.
