DUBAI // A man found swimming towards Palm Deira has told police he is suffering from amnesia and does not know who he is. The man, who is white and appears to be in his 20s, is of medium height with brown hair and a light beard. A security guard found him swimming and brought him to shore, where he gave him food and water before taking him to the police station. Lt Col Abdullah Hassan Mattar, the acting director of the Ports Station, said the man could not recall who he was. The police then transferred him to Rashid Hospital for treatment.
Police say they have no reports of a missing person fitting his description. They are urging anybody who may be able to identify him to contact the nearest police station, or call 999 or the Ports Station on 04 345 9999. @Email:newsdesk@thenational.ae
