DUBAI // The opening of the Dubai Crocodile Park project has been delayed until the end of next year.
The postponement until end-2017 will help complete all preparations in the park that when completed will house a wide variety of the reptiles including Nile crocodiles, the largest species that live in fresh water, said Juma Al Fuqae, vice chairman of Dubai Municipality’s investment committee.
The project will also be an opportunity for schools, universities and research centres to conduct scientific programs and organise seminars to encourage an interest in natural science, biology and environment, said Mr Al Fuqae.
The 20,000 square metre park is being built adjacent to Mushrif Park in Mirdif.
